In this talk, Justyna reframes professional burnout as a learning experience. Why does it happen, and why does it keep happening to some people more than others? Is this your own fault? Is the experience always the same? Does gender play a role in how you are affected? She is going to share a number of personal stories, and will try to keep things constructive by sharing lessons and advice for individuals, their colleagues and their managers.
Biography:
She has explored many sides of IT before: programming, R&D, academia, translations, product, engineering, leadership. She has finally recognised product as the place to be, as she enjoys the impact of the role and the challenges brought by indirect leadership. Justyna lives in Poznań, Poland with her husband, two little daughters and one very big dog. She runs an airbnb in a Polish forest, very popular among the citizens of Berlin.
